Golden Rock is located near Kyaikto in Mon State in the northern part of the Tanintharyii coast and it’s situated at an elevation of 1,100 m (3,609 ft) above mean sea level, on top of the Kyaik Hti Yoe hill (also known as Kelasa hills or Eastern Yoma mountains); it is on the Paung-laung ridge of the Eastern Yoma mountains. This destination is 160km away from Yangon.

The Golden Rock is also know as " Kyaik Hti Yo Pagoda " . The meaning of Kyaik Hti Yo : According to Mon traditional language the word "Kyaik" means " Pagoda" and " Yo" " to carry on the hermits head", in Pali the word" Ithi" means a hermit and therefore the name means " the pagoda carried on the hermit's head. The pagoda about 18 feet high, and 50 feet in girth. it is situated on the ridge between Sittaung and Thanlwin.

Kyaik Hti Yo Pagoda is one of the place should travel even " The Cool Season " due to visit not feel dusty and feel fresh both physically and mentally with the support of cool feeling . It would be really wonderful time and greatful feeling when you reach the top of the Kyaiktiyo Mountain with the pleasant views .
